On September 1st of 1998 the restaurant Doc Cheng’s started in the basement of the famous luxury hotel Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten and captured Hamburg with an extraordinary Euro-Asian culinary concept and an outstanding Far Eastern ambience. Doc Cheng’s restaurant soon created a furor and became an inherent part of Hamburg’s popular places.
Doc Cheng was born in 1882 in Penang as a son of a wealthy rubber trading family and he was well known as bon vivant, connoisseur of good wines, good food and marriageable women. According to the legend he prescribed most patients an encouraging "Doc Cheng’s Lemon" instead of pills - a drink you should try in our Bar Indochine.
On the purpose of the legendary eponym Doc Cheng’s team enchants during the year of the anniversary with a number of culinary delicacies and holds an exceptional variety of birthday surprises for its guests.
